The Production Process

Our woven polypropylene bags are produced using high quality polymer (wpp) resin. The woven fabric production also known as the extrusion process, is subject to rigorous quality control procedures. First the pp resin is feed into an extruder to produce pp tapes that vary in thickness and width. These tapes are then loaded onto bobbins to start the weaving process. During the weaving process tapes are loaded onto looms where the fabric that makes up the body of the bulk bags is woven into shape. When coating or lamination has been requested, the next step in the process, would include an application of a film being added to the surface using heat and pressure.

The last stage prior to the conversion process is the printing stage. The woven polypropylene fabric can be printed with customized designs, logos and colours using a printing machine. The next phase of the manufacturing process is the conversion stage where cutting and sewing of the fabric are performed to create bags that are strong and durable to meet with all the specific bag requirements and requested specifications required by our clients. Finally the bulk bags are subject to strict quality controls and various tests to ensure that the bulk bags meet the required standards for safety, strength and durability.

Our bulk bags can be certified to carry products ranging from 500 kg up to 2000 kg. The heavier the product becomes the higher the gsm (grade of fabric) needs to be produced so that the bags safely conform to the safe working load requirement ie 1000 kg, 1500 kg or 2000 kg. Flexi Tuff produces bags for a wide range of products from simple cost effective one tonne basic bags to double layer 2000 kg bags or others that are more technical and advanced in their features .
